Stations more accessible in TrainTimes 2.07

A new version of TrainTimes has been released. The program is one from the Kevin Wells family of applications that use Wget to request data from a remote application programmer interface (API).

In this case, the program can be used to check train timetables, as well as find out useful information about the trains themselves, the stations along their route, and so on. It does so through two different APIs – Real Train Times (from whom, users will need to register for an API key) and National Rail.

The update (to version 2.07) provides improved access to the station data – Adjust-clicking (that’s the right mouse button for less experienced RISC OS users) on the station name in the train time windows, from a menu entry on the application’s icon bar menu, and Adjust- clicking on the application’s icon on the icon bar. Clicking with Select (the left mouse button) on the icon bar continues to open the station timetable as before.

Kevin has also fixed a bug in that the origin time was incorrect on the train timetables.

If you find any of Kevin’s software useful, why not consider rewarding him for it by buying some merchandise or with a small contribution.
